Easy Italian Pasta

Spaghetti is a long, thin, cylindrical pasta that has become a staple in British kitchens. This type of pasta is made from durum wheat semolina flour or a combination of semolina and all-purpose flour, giving it a firm texture and nutty flavour. Spaghetti is incredibly versatile and can be served with a variety of sauces, including puttanesca sauce, marinara sauce, or carbonara sauce.

To cook spaghetti, you need a large pot of boiling water and a pinch of salt. The spaghetti is added to the boiling water and cooked until al dente, following the packet instructions. Once cooked, the spaghetti is drained and tossed with a little olive oil to prevent it from sticking together.

Spaghetti alla puttanesca is a classic Italian dish that has become popular in the UK. This simple and delicious sauce is made with canned tomatoes, garlic, chilli flakes, anchovy paste, black olives, and capers. The sauce is quick to make and can be cooked on medium heat in a large frying pan.
